NAME

ephcom_vtransit - prints rectangular coordinate vectors of the Sun and Venus for the historic Venus transit of 8 June 2004.  

SYNOPSIS

ephcom_vtransit ephemeris-file
 

DESCRIPTION

Reads and interpolates the binary ephemeris-file and writes values precomputed in the Astronomical Almanac for 2004, and values computed with the ephcom routines. This serves as an example of using the ephcom package to report planetary positions. All output is written to stdout.

ephemeris-file
binary ephemeris file. Should be DE405, which is used to generate the 2004 Astronomical Almanac.
